Use of our services is at your own risk. SafAr shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of our services, vehicles, or website.

All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation. SafAr reserves the right to modify or discontinue any service without notice, including pricing, route schedules, and vehicle availability.

All content, including text, logos, images, and brand identity, is the intellectual property of SafAr unless otherwise stated. Unauthorized reproduction or use is strictly prohibited.

Welcome to SafAr – Sustainable Travel by Design. By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully before booking.

Our Services

We provide:

  • Intercity shared rides (Auckland–Hamilton–Rotorua/Tauranga routes)

  • Private, chauffeur-driven car hire (hourly, daily, or multiday)

  • EV-based luxury travel across New Zealand

  • Door-to-door pickup within 20km of city centres​

Passenger Guidelines

  • Be ready 10 minutes before your scheduled pickup.

  • Luggage: 1 suitcase + 1 carry-on per person (additional bags may incur a fee).

  • Door-to-door service valid within 20km radius from scheduled locations.

  • Treat our drivers and vehicles with respect. Offensive behaviour will not be tolerated.

Private Chauffeur Hire

  • Maximum usage limit of 300 kilometres per day applies for all private hire bookings.

  • Additional kilometres will incur an excess charge, which will be disclosed at the time of booking.

  • ​Booking fees for multiday private hire are strictly non-refundable, regardless of cancellation notice period.

Shared Intercity and Airport Transfers

  • All shared rides include door-to-door pickup and drop-off within 20 kilometres of the selected major hub (Auckland, Hamilton, Rotorua, Tauranga).

  • Passengers must select a pickup time window; pickups will occur within 1 hour of this window.

  • Drop-offs may vary and include a buffer of up to 30 minutes, depending on the locations of all 4 passengers on that particular ride.

Booking & Payment

  • All bookings must be confirmed via our website, call centre, or official channels.

  • Full payment is required at booking to confirm your seat or hire.

  • Prices are in NZD and inclusive of GST unless otherwise stated.

  • Booking confirmation is emailed upon successful payment.

Cancellations & Refunds

  • 48+ hours before: Full refund

  • 24–48 hours: 50% refund

  • Under 24 hours / No-show: No refund

  • SafAr reserves the right to cancel trips due to extreme weather, mechanical issues, or low demand. Full refund or reschedule will be offered.​

Safety & Vehicle Use

  • All SafAr vehicles are fully insured and EV-powered for sustainability.

  • Drivers are licensed professionals committed to safety.

  • For multiday travel, driver accommodation and meals must be arranged if not included in package.

Women’s-Only Discount Offer

  • Women travellers receive 50% off rides on New Zealand public holidays.

  • Offer valid on shared intercity routes only.

  • ID may be requested during boarding.

Changes to Routes or Pricing

  • SafAr may update services, pricing, or routes based on demand or operational needs.

  • Affected customers will be notified in advance of any major changes.

Privacy & Data Use

  • Your personal details are used solely for bookings and communication.

  • We never sell or share your data. View our full Privacy Policy for details.

Liability Disclaimer

  • SafAr is not responsible for delays due to traffic, road conditions, or weather.

  • If disruptions occur, we’ll arrange alternate transport or refund where applicable.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Disputes will be settled under NZ jurisdiction.
